Crocheting my latest afghan is turning into a mirror image of my life. This occurred to me last night as I unraveled six skeins of already crocheted blanket when I discovered a mistake. Life is pretty much a process of moving ahead until something stops the forward motion and we have to stop, figure it out, and then hopefully, with new energy, more wisdom or both, head off again.
As I start to re-crochet the afghan it is fun to see that my life and this blanket are headed in the same forward motion again, at least for...........now.

Aren't they (we) cute?
Lately, a funny thing happens to me when I see older people doing something fun...I have this thought that fleetingly runs through my head...and it is "Isn't it nice that those old people are having such fun doing..(fill in the blank with whatever they are doing)"...and then I realize that those old people are probably the same age or just a bit older than I am ....now!
